Cooper Rose Real Estate are once again looking for 300 sites throughout the UK & Ireland on behalf of their retained client Calendar Club.

Thus far they have signed 202 deals, with over 60 more in solicitor’s hands. This takes the total number of sites agreed to over 2,750 in the 16 Christmas seasons that Cooper Rose director Ben Rose and his colleague Sammy Rose have been working as Calendar Club’s retained property advisors.

Calendar Club are now looking for their final 40 sites for the 2013 Christmas Season.

Acquisition of Prime High Street Retail Investment in Peterborough

On behalf of clients of Picton Capital, Cooper Rose Real Estate has acquired the freehold interest in 62-68 Bridge Street, Peterborough for a price of £9.075m, reflecting a net initial yield of 6.5%. The acquisition was on an 'off market' basis.

The property comprises a substantial retail property comprising two stores let to TK Maxx and New Look.

Property Week: Picton ploughs into Peterborough retail

Picton has bought two high street retail units in Peterborough for £9.1m, at a yield of 6.5%.

The property, which totals 89,000 sq ft, is let to TK Maxx and New Look until 2020 and 2021 respectively.

The units, with frontage on the pedestrianised Bridge Street, produce an annual rent of £625,000 reflecting a low average overall rent of £7/ sq ft, which is subject to review in 2015 and 2016.

Picton has now made over £81m of acquisitions during the course of this year and this purchase fully utilises the remainder of the funds allocated for acquisitions raised during the £35m initial placing in May of this year.

Michael Morris, chief executive, said: “We were attracted to this asset due to a combination of factors, including the strong population growth within Peterborough, the property’s core location, the flexibility of the units and the low overall rental levels which are subject to review over the next couple of years.”

Acquisition of Prime Leeds Hotel Investment

On behalf of clients of CBRE Global Investors, Cooper Rose Real Estate has acquired the freehold interest in Travelodge and Chaophraya Restaurant, Blayds Court, Swinegate, Leeds for a price of £4.55m, reflecting a net initial yield of 5.75%.

The property comprises a modern, 100 room hotel and restaurant close to Leeds Train Station.

The CoStar Quarterly Agency League Tables for Quarter 2, 2013 have been published.

Cooper Rose Real Estate have been ranked 24th 'Most Active Acquisition Agent' overall in the UK, with the total value of investment properties acquired during this period at £35.4 million.

This is the first quarter of the first full financial year for Cooper Rose Real Estate.
